It's amazing how little you get done with a newborn around.
If my time is not taken up feeding or changing (and most of it is; no-one told me just how long and how often breastfed babies feed!), then Im wasting hours watching my baby sleep, despite no doubt having spent considerable time getting him to sleep in the first place.
Meanwhile, time continues to pass by, waiting for no-one, and nothing else gets done.
So its now 6weeks since our bundle of joy arrived, and if you're waiting to read my birth story I wrote after 3days but never got round to editing and publishing, or for one of the 100s of thank you cards I really must get written, or for me to come over with littleun like I promised I would, or for me to rebook my dentist appointment I postponed shortly before birth, or for any one of the other gazillion tasks unticked on my arms length to-do list, I sincerely apologise.
I am learning how to resume business as usual. But like most things, its taking longer than Id planned. So, for now, Im operating a reduced service until further notice, and I apologise for any inconvenience caused, and thank you for your patience while the necessary improvements are made!
